I was going to keep the Coming Soon page up until I settled more in my mixed media art but then I thought, “What the heck. Why don’t you all just come along for the ride?”

I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting lately while that page has been up and have found myself moving away from textile art. I realized I didn’t want the slow meditative stitching anymore as wonderfully soothing as it is. I found it too slow for where I want to go right now. At the moment, I want more speed. Faster movement of color, shape and design. Something to jazz me up!

I can’t say I won’t go back to textile art… Heck I’ve already got another project (or two) in mind… but this time, combined with many more materials other than textiles.

So I’m coming back around to where I started years ago, which is acrylic painting… Only this time abstract. And also collage or assemblage… Not sure what to call it. And my photography… For now it’s a little little of everything and so calling it mixed media seems most apropos.
