Angela Mahler is a Jewelry Artisan,
formerly of Palm Springs, CA
and now residing in the sunny city
of North Vancouver, BC.
She has been living creatively
most of her life by either
writing, dancing, singing, playing instruments,
drawing, painting and now making jewelry.
“I have been attracted to rocks
as long as I can remember.
As a child I used to climb the hills
around our cottage and come home
with pockets full of my ‘precious’ rocks,”
She laughs.
“In school, I was sure I was going to be
a geologist when I grew up. I was fascinated
with the earth sciences and fossils
held me spell bound dreaming of a distant past.”
A few years back I attended a Mystery school
and it was there that the answer became clear for me.
I had just completed five canvases of paintings
and found I couldn’t paint anymore. I was just done.
Yet I was still thirsty to explore my creativity.
A woman was wearing this beautiful bracelet.
When I asked her where she got it,
she revealed that she had made it herself.
When she then embarked on a luscious description
of working with these semi-precious rocks, I was hooked.”
“Now I get to play with these beauties all the time.
I get such peace when working with the beautiful hues
of these gorgeous gemstones.
Just the feel them in my hands is soothing for some reason.
“My clients tell me they have similar experiences
when wearing my pieces. They just love the feel of them.
To me, that's the icing on the cake.”
Angela draws on her rich imagination
